My Life at NTHU
Many teachers once told me that the word “university” means you can just play in those four years. I couldn’t agree less! In my opinion, we should focus on our schoolwork but be involved in other activities as well. Looking back on these four years, my university life was mainly composed of schoolwork, part-time jobs, and clubs.
To be frank with you, I didn’t like my major at first. There were times when I intended to change my major. But I still tried my best to overcome the difficulties I faced. Thanks to my mom’s encouragement, I stuck to it, and thus I have passed all the courses I took. Furthermore, I applied to NTU last year. Therefore I’ll go to Taipei after graduating from NTHU. I’m really looking forward to it!
In addition to my schoolwork, I’ve had several kinds of part-time jobs such as tutoring, translation, and cram school teacher as well. These experiences taught me to put things in perspective and broaden my horizons. Besides acquiring some interesting experiences, I used the income to help ease the economic burden at my home. And I believe that these experiences will be of great use in the future because I’ve learned how to teach in different ways. For me, the happiest thing lies in the sense of teaching achievement.
As a matter of fact, I chose to spend more time on study and part-time jobs, so I only focus on one club-- the Chung-Yo club. Because its members are all students from Taichung , we feel more familiar with each other there.
Things at NTHU, including schoolwork , jobs and clubs, really affected me a lot. Although I did not have a love story which was engraved on my mind, I’ve learned a lot in these four years. Moreover, I’m going to graduate in three months, and I’ll miss life at NTHU certainly. Thanks, NTHU. You’ve given me a series of unforgettable experiences. I’ll always remember things at NTHU forever.
